So why a blog about health sci? An introduction

Coming down to Dunedin I didn't really know anything at all about my future, what I was doing with my life, let alone anything about HSFY. I kinda just gravitated towards it because of the flexibility, potential for entrance into professional programs and really just for a challenge. And boy was it a challenge. Retrospectively looking back on the year that I had, I wouldn't have traded it for anything, from the lifelong friends that I have made through the first year halls, the knowledge I've gained from (some) interesting papers to the times of absolute stress and knowing that my best still wasn't good enough. This comes to the reason why I wanted to create this blog.
So what do I expect this blog to contain? Firstly I will be sharing my experiences throughout the year, the good and the bad, what worked and what didn't work, insider knowledge of the academic content and the UCAT, social life to hall selections, everything and anything related to the experience that was HSFY and the first year of university. Firstly I will be writing a personal blog about my experience from the day I moved into my hall to the day I moved out, pretty my the story of my life over the last year. From there I intend on writing a basic HSFY introductory post those who just want a little taste of what's to come. Then I will eventually try and get through all the seven core papers, how I and others found them and how we approached them. This I believe would have been helpful to me to read over the summer or have even known before hand. I will also be writing about residential hall life, how to choose halls and pretty much make all the information from reddit concise, but also give you first hand experiences from myself and others from a range of halls. From there I really don't know what this blog will turn into, if anyone had a specific topic or any questions I would probably write posts on them but for now the aforementioned is the current plan. Pretty much what ever you want to know i'll tell you about it, the good, bad and the ugly.
I will also be attempting to connect with other individuals whom may have had different experiences than what I've had, to those that have a 98%+ average who would be much more qualified to shed academic life knowledge than me, to those who decided to flat instead of stay in a hall I believe that different experiences coming together will help form the basis of what I know will be a useful tool in helping prospective and current students.
So pretty much share this blog amongst friends, family and whoever gives a damn about this gruelling and challenging course and feel free to get in touch with me about anything relating to HSFY.
Feel free to email me at: hsfyblog@gmail.com if you would like to help me write content or if there are any specific topics or questions you want covered!
